We're hiring an Operations Coordinator to keep Madrid's top-rated food and wine tours running seamlessly.
Are you obsessed with Spanish food and wine, love solving a puzzle and thrive when no two days are exactly the same? Walk and Eat Spain is hiring an Operations Coordinator to help run our Madrid food and wine experiences. We’re a small and growing company committed to sharing the best of Madrid with visitors from around the world.
We’re looking for someone who blends a love of Spain’s unique culinary culture with an eye for detail and the ability to come up with practical solutions to everyday operations issues. This is a full-time, hybrid role based out of our office in central Madrid. The Operations Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the tours, coordinate the guide team and work closely with restaurant and market partners.
The Role
The Operations Coordinator keeps every Walk and Eat tour running seamlessly by planning tours, scheduling guides and communicating with partners. The position includes guiding tours as well as coordinating their daily functions. As Spanish food, history and culture are at the heart of all of our experiences, this role also includes ongoing food and wine education.
The main responsibilities of the position are:

Calendar and tour inventory management
Guide scheduling
Guide liaison

About you
Essential characteristics:
Fluent in Spanish and English
Lives in Madrid with permission to work in Spain
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Basic to intermediate Excel skills
Knows where to get the best pincho de tortilla in Madrid and has a favorite market and museum
Skilled at reading a room and building connections with partners, clients and guides
Able to work independently and make sound judgment calls
Problem solver who likes the challenge of making good systems better
An empathetic and compassionate listener who enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
Ideal candidates will also have in experience in one of the following:
Operations, coordination, or logistics - ideally in hospitality, tourism, or events
Food, wine, or hospitality sector in Madrid
Coordinating a team of freelance or part-time staff

Warm, outgoing, natural storytellers who are passionate about Spanish cuisine, culture and history
Bilingual (English & Spanish) food and wine enthusiasts who feel comfortable meeting all kinds of people over tapas and wine
People who share our love of meeting new people and believe in the power that food and drink have to bring us together
Autónom@s who would be interested in leading 2-5 tours a week.
No guiding experience is required! We offer comprehensive training and competitive rates. Please note that we can only work with registered autónom@s.
