Tour Description
Experience all of Madrid's must-try flavors in a single morning! From churros and chocolate to kid-friendly tapas, taste the dishes Spanish kids love as you treasure hunt your way through the neighborhood and market. Finish with hearty tapas made from the freshest market ingredients. This is the perfect family food adventure for young explorers!
Start the morning the Spanish way: with Madrid’s famous churros and chocolate. Watch how they're made in a bustling neighborhood café packed with grandmas, builders and businessmen!
Next we’ll head into the city’s best olive oil shop. Kids discover the world of Spanish olive oil in a hands-on tasting that turns even picky eaters into little food experts. We’ll then stop for a playground break in front of a neighborhood elementary school so the kids can burn some energy before the market adventure begins.
Step into the bustling neighborhood market and meet the people behind the foods. You’ll try seasonal fruit, olives, and cheese as kids search for their market treasure hunt clues. Along the way you’ll meet the vendors and learn the stories of their products and families. End the day with a tapas meal prepared using ingredients from the market!
Every tour is fully private and tailored to your family's age, pace, and appetite. Whether your little ones are toddlers or tweens, your guide will make the morning just right for them. We especially recommend this experience for families with young kids under 13 years old. The market is colorful, interactive and lively, the market vendors love interacting with kids and there's room to move, explore, and play!

Madrid has several great tapas neighborhoods. All of our tours focus on neighborhoods that are just off the beaten path — so you experience the real thing.
This tapas tour visits the hip and historic Malasaña neighborhood, which is the area just north of the main Gran Via avenue. Malasaña is where many of the biggest events of the past 200 years took place. Between tapas stops, you’ll discover the rebellions, reconstructions and fiestas that took place along these cobblestone streets!
